Rise Above Wellness Center Inc. Minutes of the October 1st Board Meeting. The quarterly meeting of Rise Above Wellness Center Inc was held by phone conference call on October 1st 2020 at 7:00 pm. Those in attendance were Jeremy Dahlgren, Frederick Sinclair and Christina Petito. The minutes of the June 23rd meeting were presented by Secretary Sinclair, reviewed and approved Dahlgren, second Petito and carried. Chairman Dahlgren gave the Treasurers report and there have been no revenues or expenditures against the accounts. The account balance is $700. It was reported that Steuben Trust Bank has been bought and the Rise Above Inc. account is now operated by Community Bank. Dahlgren requested reimbursement of the $17,000 he had loaned to the Rise Above Inc Account for the purpose of underwriting a possible purchase of the adjacent former Wellsville Daily Reporter building. The purchase of the property by Rise Above is unlikely and Petito made the motion to reimburse Dahlgren the $17,000 with a second by Sinclair and the motion carried unanimously. There has not been a seeking of subsidy under CARES due to a lack of revenue history. There are no practitioner activities restarting as of yet and due to Covid 19 Shutdown. There is currently no open model to be reinstated or activities restarted. Discussion followed on maintaining the 501(C)(3) status and it was agreed (consensus) that the status was of value, could open doors in the future and should be maintained. The history of the Rise Above sponsoring of Pickle Ball and the grant pass through of funding using Rise Above's 501(c)(3) status was discussed. The grant was ultimately not approved. The Board expressed discomfort at the "hurry up" nature of the requested sponsorship and it was consensus a protocol should be followed, that action to sponsor pass throughs must be reviewed and approved by a majority of the Board with ample time to carefully consider proposed sponsorship. The next meeting is close to the end of the year and could be the Annual Meeting and held in January. No date was set. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm on motion by Dahlgren, Second by Sinclair and carried. Fred Sinclair, Secretary
